Time to Use That Stash

Hi and welcome to the June Cross Canada Blog Hop where our theme this month is Use Your Stash! We all have a stash of paper and embellishments, and this is a great time to use some of it!
As you proceed through the hop, please leave comments as we love to hear what you have to say about our projects. If you would like information about a product or technique, please contact your local Close to my Heart Consultant for details.
If you got here from Jessica's blog, you are on the right track, but if you get lost along the way, just head back to Michelle in Nova Scotia where you will find the complete list of hoppers.
My paper stash is huge and I keep all of my scraps in a file cabinet in hanging folders, one for each colour group. I am trying to find an easy way to store my patterned paper the same way, but that one is not happening yet. I also have a mountain of embellishments which I keep in the CTMH medium organizer which works great! I cut little divider cards using Photo Mat 1 on the Artbooking cartridge (3" X 4" I think) and wrote on the tabs. I sure have a lot of sequins!
This month I made cards for my project. These are cards that I will be swapping at Convention in a few weeks so if you see one you like and will be in SLC, look for me before General Session!
I know that Jack and Live Beautifully are new paper packs, but I wanted to use some of my embellishments since I have so many in my stash. For this project I used my Gold and Red Shimmer Trims as well as the Gold Foil Tape and Sparkles.
The flower is stamped using Pomegranate ink and rolled in Ruby to darken the edges. I stamped the leaves in Pear and rolled them in New England Ivy. I really love the Live Beautifully paper and have been hoarding it! This is a great time to use it up!

This is a 4" X 4" card made with a Pomegranate base. The design for the two cards above are from the Wishes book, which I LOVE when I just can't think of a design. This is a simple design that goes together quickly. I tried the card without the Gold Foil Tape but it was kind of blah. The tape makes all the difference!

Yes, this is a Christmas card! I used Jack and Rustic Home for the patterned paper and Ruby for the base and the circle which I used as a mat for the White Daisy. I distressed the edges of the patterned papers with New England Ivy ink and then added the Red Glitter Trim pennants under the circle for a bit of glitz. It still seemed rather dull so I added the sparkle gems for a bit of bling.
As I mentioned above, I made these cards for swapping at Convention, so if there is one (or more!) that you would like to swap with me, I will see you in SLC!
Next in the hop is Corinna with another great project. I hope you leave comments as you go through, and if you want more information about Close to my Heart, our products, or classes and workshops, please contact your local consultant who will be glad to help you!
Next month our theme is Masculine Projects because after all, the men in our lives need some lovin' too!
