It's October already and we are well into Autumn. This month, we are highlighting our new Hawthorn paper pack with its Autumn theme. The colours are perfect for this time of year!
If you got here from Linda's blog, you are on the right track, but if you get lost along to way, just head back to Sheena's blog where you will find the complete list of bloggers. As you hop through our blogs, please leave your comments, whether you are interested in a technique or just want to say hello.
This card was one of the projects we made at the Convention Recap meeting here in Edmonton. Thank you, Jennifer Smith, for the card and layouts! I love the technique for creating the background. So simple to make and so pretty. Add drops of reinker to your largest block or All-Purpose Mat. Spray with a Spray Pen until the ink is really wet - the wetter the better - and then place your watercolour paper on top of the ink and press down lightly to make the ink spread on the paper. Dry with your heat gun or set aside to dry overnight. Finish off your card as you wish.

The layouts were also created at the Convention Recap.
This next layout is half of a 2-page layout but I decided to make them into two 1-page layouts instead. Jennifer cut all of the leaves for us - THANK YOU! - and we all cut and coloured our own sunflowers.
I coloured my sunflowers with the Saffron Exclusive Inks stamp pad and my Gold Shimmer Brush. Simply squeeze the closed ink pad to get some ink on the lid and pick it up with the Shimmer Brush to colour. They are SO shiny! And the butterfly is coloured with our new Sapphire Shimmer Brush.

That's it for me this month. Now hop on over to Kristine's blog to see more beautiful artwork. Be sure to hop along with us again next month when we will highlight the awesome Christmassy Holly Jolly paper!
