Welcome to the June Cross Canada Blog Hop where we are highlighting the Stitched Together papers. The colours and patterns this paper brings are so bright and beautiful, and can be used on any layout or card!
If you got here from Brandi's blog, you are on the right track, but if you get lost along the way, just head back to Michelle in Nova Scotia where you will find the complete list of bloggers. As you hope through our blog posts, please leave a comment, whether is for more information about a technique used or just to say hi! Now on with this month's hop!
I love to get ideas from other crafters' artwork and adapt it to my own style, and that is what I did with this idea I got from Trina Wirihana in New Zealand. Trina is so talented and imaginative, and I find a lot of inspiration from her Facebook posts. She recently created several cards using her scraps and I thought it was so awesome! I have a MOUNTAIN of scraps and this is a great way to use a bunch of them up. This card I made uses strips of Stitched Together paper (with a couple of the Aurora zip strip pieces as well) ranging from 1/2" to 3/4" wide.

To make the card, I cut a piece of White Daisy at 4" X 5 1/2" and started in one corner with a small piece then added longer and longer pieces Herringbone style until the whole piece was filled. There were a lot of pieces that were too long but I stuck them on anyway and trimmed the excess when I was done. I then adhered this to a card base and added the banner with 3D Foam Tape.
Another card I made is called, among other names, a peek-a-boo card. Another great way to use scraps! There are many templates in Pinterest for variations of this card.
That's it for me this month. If you would like more information about the techniques used, please let me know and I will get back to you. Now, since I am the end of the line, you can hop back to Michelle's blog and start over again!
