Timber!

Welcome to the August Cross Canada Blog Hop where we are highlighting the Timber papers, cardstock, and embellishments. If you got here from Dorothy's blog, you are in the right place, but if you get lost along the way, just head to Michelle's blog in Nova Scotia where you will find the complete list of bloggers.

Since we are not into camping - my idea of camping is Holiday Inn! - I decided to try to incorporate the Timber papers into my Christmas cards. The red and green plaids and the green trees lend themselves well to this time of the year. I also incorporated the Gnome Matter Stamp and Thin Cuts because I thought the gnomes make awesome Santas! Here is one card I managed to finish for the hop. I used Diamond Stickles on his beard and Transparent Matte Texture Paste for the fur on his hat and cuffs. I wanted to use the regular matte paste but mne was a solid lump when I opened the jar! I have since added a few drops of wter and it is nice and pliable again. :-) I coloured him in with my TriBlend Markers Dark Red Blends, Black Touch Twin Marker, and Gold Metallics Marker (belt buckle). The
Time to Celebrate sentiment is from the May Stamp of the Month. The sentiment is popped up with some Thin 3D Foam Tape and I edged it with the Dark end of the Dark Red Blends marker.

This is just a prototype and I may change it up a bit before my Christmas Card workshop in October, but I like how he turned out. If you have any questions about anything I used, or would like more information about Close to my Heart or my team, just leave a comment and I will get back to you. For now, hop on over to Kristine's blog for some more Timber artwork!

Come on back next month when we will feature another beautiful Close to my Heart paperpack!
